How To Make A Profit

By Reverend Michael Farias

2 Timothy 3:16 Modern English Version (MEV)

"All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness."

Have you read the Bible?  The whole thing?  If you can answer yes, I congratulate you.

Even though some areas in the Bible are very difficult to read and even harder to make sense of, they are not there by accident.

The Bible itself tells us that all scripture is inspired by God.  That’s right, the whole huge thing.

The Bible is not a book.  The Bible is made up of 66 books, written by 44 authors over a period of about 1500 years. The 39 books of the Old Testament were composed between 1400 and 400 B.C.. The 27 books of the New Testament between A.D. 50 and A.D. 100.  It contains 773,692 words.

Since every single word is God inspired, it has proven to be profitable.  It is profitable for teaching.  How else will we learn of the nature of God and how to have a relationship with him unless we are taught?  The bible will teach us. It is profitable for reproof.   Reproof is scolding or rebuke.  Who likes to be scolded?  Nobody.  However, scolding is profitable and will cause us to consider a better path and reveals to us mistakes in our life that need to be corrected. Finally, this verse declares that it is profitable for instruction in righteousness.  I don’t know about you, but this is an area that I could use some instruction in.

So, if you want to be profitable in your life, in every area of your life - there is a way to make that happen.  Study the Bible to make a profit.
